key to keeping the body in good working condition. The brain spends 70% of the
time on organs and 30% on pain. Pain is not always the best indicator of
problems. Correct posture can make a big difference. This of the body as three
balls – the hips, the torso and the head. The balls need to be balanced nicely
on top of each other. Roll the hips forward. Roll the torso back . Roll the
head up slightly. If standing for a long period, find something to put one foot
up on. When asked, Tim suggested for posture, to think of the body hanging from
a hook connected at the sternum without doing anything special with the shoulders.
When working at a desk or computer, stop every 40 minutes and stretch the
opposing muscle groups – lean back and stretch the torso, arms and hands back. To
relieve carpel tunnel pain, press the elbow against the wall, palm down, and
push against the fingers. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>2.
George: About 10 years ago carpel tunnel pain developed in George’s right arm. It
started off with pain when using the mouse, but progressed into constant pain
that encompassed the entire arm and more. SAIF offered a workshop on Repetitive
Motion Syndrome which taught George how to overcome his carpel tunnel pain.
Even before the workshop, he had switched to using the mouse with his left hand.
The workshop instructed him to 1. Keep his feet flat on the floor with the
upper leg parallel to the ground. 2. Have the keyboard and mouse at a height and
position so as to allow the arms to be parallel to the ground. 3. Keep his wrists
from resting on anything, especially something hard or sharp. Pressure aggravates
the situation. 4. Position the center of the monitor at eye level. Using these
techniques, George’s pain went away and has not come back. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>3.
George: Monday’s Tourism and Arts Work Session, led by Rich Mays and Stephanie
McGuire, was attended by 21 people representing 7 groups. Rich and Stephanie
emphasized their willingness to answer questions and assist in the completion
of the application forms. The projected $210K (less a 10% reserve) will be
distributed in increments by quarter with approx 40% coming from the quarter
ending Sept 30 (to be distributed mid November). Funding will be by project,
not by group. The application deadline, originally set for Sept 1, was extended
to Sept 10 by Rich in response to requests from those attending who pointed out
the burden of doing this during peak season. Rich stressed the importance of
getting applications in as early as possible so that he and/or Stephanie could
review them and point out shortcomings. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

Kristine: With the goal of Tourism and Arts Fund applicants working together
collaboratively, a meeting of all the groups should be held. It would be a

George was told that a new director was taking over and there was not time to

challenges PSU had in the past with finding housing for their students.. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

Krupa: A new committee at the Chamber headed by Tracy Abel – “Membership
Relations” has been formed to work on improving chamber member relations. Being
considered is a monthly breakfast meeting where a hardy breakfast is made
available and members (and friends) have a WMM style sit-down. Tracy suggested
that this replace the WMM once per month. George supported the idea of Chamber
breakfast gathering, but in addition to the regular WMM rather than in place of
it. He pointed out that the idea of moving the meeting around had been
discussed previously and that the group consensus was to keep it consistently
in one location to avoid confusion. He felt that the Chamber could use the WMM
as it is to accomplish the goal of improving Member Relations. Dianna Pappas
expressed concern that having it become a Chamber Meeting once a month could
undermine the momentum and energy that the WMM has going. Kathy Kleczek felt it
important to keep the WMM and the Chamber separate. Others agreed and
encouraged the Chamber to have this monthly breakfast on a morning other than
Wednesday. Tim took a poll of preferred days. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

Tim Krupa: As Chamber president, Tim is charged with (upon Board approval)
committee appointments. He has been working on this. The Marketing Committee
will be headed by Kristine Gottsch with Scott Kruickshank and Jim McDonald as
members. Tim will continue with the Website for the time being. Kelli Truax
Taylor will head the Events Committee (Oversight committee for all events) with
Brian Olson on that committee so far. As Treasurer, Scott will head the Finance
Committee. Membership so far is Tracy Abel and Sue Meyers. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>3, Tim
Krupa: 72 surveys were returned to the Chamber. The first item on the survey
was to list the top three strengths. 90% chose Natural Environment and the Beach.
60% chose the Arts. For weaknesses, 41% chose parking and 30-some%
chose weather. 52% felt that the best new event would be a music festival. DVA
Advertising and Public Relations is using all the survey input to formulate a
marketing plan. A tag line being considered is “Come for the Ocean, Stay for
the Rest”</span><o:p></o:p></p>

George Vetter: George read the e-mail/news release sent out by CBBA announcing
that they will continue their work till Sept 30<sup>th</sup> and will then
dissolve their 501(c)6 organization. George also read his reply thanking CBBA
for their work, which benefited all of Cannon Beach, In his reply, George went
on to say “I look forward to working with you at the Chamber and hope you feel
comfortable putting your positive energy, ideas and resources behind the
Chamber effort”. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

Shari: At yesterday’s meeting of the Tourism and Arts Commission (TAC),
application guidelines were approved and are to be made public Aug 1. A<span
style='color:black'>n</span> August<span style='color:black'> 9<sup>th</sup>,
2pm</span> workshop will be <span style='color:black'>held</span> to aid
applicants. Applications will be due September 1. A September 13<sup>th</sup>
meeting (130pm) was set to review applications. Application approval is planned
for October with the first $ becoming available in November. City Attorney,
Tammy Herdener, addressed the commission about conflict of interest stating
that if a decision will have a monetary effect (either positive or negative) on
an individual (extended to their family and partners), then that person has a
conflict of interest and should step down from discussion and voting on that
matter. Even if there will be no monetary impact, a person should step down if
they feel their decision would be influenced by their relationships or
position. A volunteer board member who is not paid does not necessarily have a
conflict of interest, although Tammy did recommend that the Chair of a Board
should step down. At the TAC meeting George brought up the unique nature of
this particular commission in that they would be working with a fixed amount of
money and that any vote to fund one applicant would take funds away from
another applicant. The only conflict of interest identified at the TOC meeting
was that of John Grosshuesch who chairs the Coaster Theatre board. <span

Association is coordinating with the Chamber in the “branding” of Cannon Beach.

Zipcar is the world's largest car sharing and car club service. It is an
alternative to traditional car rental and car ownership. Share Zipcars in
Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, London, New York, Philadelphia,
Pittsburgh, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver and Washington
DC. Cannon Beach has a designated/reserved Zipcar parking space on Spruce St.
next to the Chamber. George says he drives or walks past that space nearly
daily and just last week, for the first time he saw a car parked there – a
Zipcar. Always looking for the unusual, he photographed it. It was just an
ordinary car, but it was there, in that parking space that has sat vacant for
months. With George’s recent report of how he has witnessed a parking space on
Hemlock turn over 8 times in a day, he questioned the benefit in tying up such
a valuable space for so seldom a use. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>9. Stephen:
After recently witnessing a large RV pulling a car through downtown, Stephen
compared it to a Cruise ship pulling into a harbor with small boats. He
suggested we look for ways to route RV’s away from Downtown. George said he was
recently approached by a downtown merchant who suggested that parking for RV’s
be developed off the Midtown exit and that the shuttle be used. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>10.
Kathy: People are not using the Shuttle in the way they could or should because
the schedule is not posted or distributed properly. As a community, we need to
do a better job of promoting our Shuttle. And we need to do a better job of
promoting the bus service to and from Portland and the airport there. (see

Farmer’s Market yesterday with a booth answering question and handing out info.

Cleve Rooper, Fire Chief. Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue is a volunteer
organization (other than the Chief and the Marshall). Volunteers are dwindling
– down 30%. Please spread the word of the need. Volunteers must be 18 years of
age and capable of passing a physical test to accomplishing tasks typical of
fire fighters. There is no upper age limit. Volunteers must be able to leave
whatever they are doing when called upon and must be available for Wednesday
evening meetings and training. There are 300-400 calls per year. Beside the
satisfaction of helping those in time of need, volunteers have the benefit of a
workout facility at the Fire Hall. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

to see their short presentation and to meet them. After studying a survey of
members of the Chamber and the Community, they are working on a logo and tag

little over a year ago. Sponsorship and membership numbers are both up

Gene Halliburton / Chief of Police. Gene’s philosophy for policing Cannon Beach
is “voluntary compliance”. Cars are not towed unless they are creating a safety
hazard. There are 5 summer Parking Information Aides (PIA’s) on bicycles this
summer – aged 18 to 71. Gene likes to have 3 PIA’s on during weekends. They can
write tickets, but are instructed to contact a police officer for other
enforcement. All citizens are encourage to contact Gene if they have something
they think should come to his attention – whether it be illegal parking in a
neighborhood or some<span style='color:black'>thing</span> more. In response to
a question from Gary about truck noi<span style='color:black'>s</span>e in the
North end of t<span style='color:black'>own</span> from truck engine braking on
Highway 101, Gene said the law states that “unmuffled engine braking is
illegal”. If their engine braking is muffled, which it almost always is, they
are legal and there is nothing that can be done short of going to Salem to
lobby the legislature to change the law. Much of the noise is actually not the
engine, but the actual act of the braking on the road. Kathy asked about
marking parkings spaces so as to accommodate more cars. Gene was supporti<span
style='color:black'>ve</span> of this idea. George pointed out that during his
time on the Council, this was discussed and City Planner Rainmar Bartl had
sited studies show<span style='color:black'>ing</span> that fewer cars end up
using the same amount of space when markings are used. This is because marked
space<span style='color:black'>s</span> must allow room for the largest cars.
Many cars are smaller and people will park closer and fit in tighter spots than
would be permitted if marking were used. Michael asked Gene’s opinion about
whether supplying more parking would add to congestion or alleviate it. Gene
said he is being very careful not to take sides. He did say that the spaces
marked “compact” have created some confusion and problems for his staff. As
long as a car is within the lines, they are legal. He tells people “compact” is
a recommendation. George asked if PIA’s could police more time limited parking
space<span style='color:black'>s</span> if <span style='color:black'>more were </span>added.
Gene said he’<span style='color:black'>d</span> certainly be willing to give it
a try. Wendy asked about shoplifting. Gene said it is an ongoing problem. He
has not noticed that it has gotten any worse or better over the years. Upon
request, he will come to a business and give a crime prevention evaluation.
Michael asked about fireworks. Gene said it isn’t possible to stop it complet<span
style='color:black'>ely</span>, but over time more and more people will learn
that they can’t do it in Cannon Beach. He said when he catches someone he asks
them to turn over all the illegal stuff and if he is happy with their
compliance, he does not ticket them. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>3, Jennifer:
Farmer’s Market – 1500 visitors yesterday. Had a new vendor this week with
cherries. 400 people filled out a survey. Results are not out yet. Market is
every Tuesday 2-6pm thru Sept 28<sup>th</sup>. Locals are encouraged to take
advantage of the 5-6pm hour. The selection is still good as vendors bring
enough to last. Volunteers are appreciated. <a

about the puffins and how George’s son Kyler is working with her and HRAP for
his Senior project. Gary spoke up for the black oyster catchters, birds not
quite as popular as the puffins, but whose number are also diminishing and who
nest on the rocks off our coast. Upon George’s urging, Nala gave her oyster

Michael Burkett / CB Citizen – Show and Tell. “How to write a press release
that will actually get published”. The media is always looking for news and
interesting stories. Look at your business and employees for interesting
stories. Before beginning to write a news release, go to the publication(s)
that you plan to submit to and look for examples of what they print. Follow the
formatting rules, abbreviation, punctuation, etc found there. Write your
release as a reporter would write it. Do not use I, we, our, etc. Avoid
exclamation points. The less work you leave for the editor the more likely your
release will be published. Submit your release by e-mail. Include your release
in the body of the e-mail message, even if it is attached as a pdf or doc.
When submitting, only submit to the media in your area. Follow up with a
phone call to verify that the release was received and ask if there are any
questions. Every release should include contact information. The Headline and
first paragraph must be alluring. Include a photograph, but make sure it is a
good one. Carol from the Gazette added her suggestion that least important info
be at the end of the release so that if necessary it can be omitted. Michael
described the “Dolly Parton Rule”. As Dolly learned and said on stage in Vegas
after a wardrobe mishap, and as relates to fitting everything into a
publication, “You can’t fit 10 lbs of mud into a 5 lbs sack”.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>3, Jeff/George
The Great Cannon Beach Puffin Watch, Parade, Concert, Circus Play, Dance Hour
and Fire Dancers on the 4<sup>th</sup> all came off very well. Because of rain
after the Parade, the Concert had only about 100 attendees. Jeff estimated 100
participated in the dance which was a good number. The Parade was very well
attended with people lining both sides of Spruce and Hemlock Streets. (See

spite of drizzle just prior to the Fire Dancing, a crowd of 490 people were

George said that he had not seen that many people in the park in many years.

In spite of the large numbers of people in town for the 3-day weekend and No
Vacancy signs up and down Hemlock, retail sales were not good. The hope that
summer might change the mood of shoppers is dwindling fast among retailers.

Yesterday’s warm, sunny day brought a steady flow of people to the Farmer’s
Market – 1400 in all. Vendors have reported mixed success. Some are doing well,
others not. Next week a survey will be conducted at the market. Market is every
Tuesday 2-6pm thru Sept 28<sup>th</sup>. Locals are encouraged to take advantage
of the 5-6pm hour. The selection is still good as vendors bring enough to last.

Wendy: At last night’s Council Meeting, the Council selected, by concealed
vote, 5 people to serve on the Tourism and Arts Commission. Those chosen are
Tom Drumheller, Valerie Ryan, Linda Beck-Sweeney, Robin Risley and John
Grosshuesch. The six who were not chosen are Bob Necker, Kristine Gottsch,
Stephanie Ansley, Jim McDonald, Stephen Malkowski and George Vetter. As per
Wendy, because of conflict of interest, some applicants were not chosen.

At last night Council Meeting, the Council considered two options for
increasing downtown parking at the East end of Second Street. This would be in
conjunction the construction of the Trail. Option 1 is for adding 30 spaces and
does not involve any fill. Option 2 adds 57 parking spaces and involves some
fill in the now retired (man-made) sewer pond. Option 2 would be better as far
as the Trial is concerned. At the public hearing, 5 people spoke against adding
any parking/paving/fill citing congestion and environmental concerns. George
spoke up in favor of replacing some of the 100 spaces lost (as per City Planner
Rainmar Bartl) in the past 15 years or so. Adding more parking will not add to
congestion but rather alleviate it. People don’t come to Cannon Beach because
we have parking, they come because of Haystack Rock, the ocean, the beauty and
an attractive town that welcomes them. Jeff says visitors #1 complaint is the
lack of parking. Councilor Sam Steidel reminded everyone that the sewer lagoons
are just that – sewer lagoons. They are not natural and are less than
environmentally friendly. He suggested creating parking that could be used for
something else when not needed for cars – a sport field or the like. The
Council tabled the issue. It will be taken up in a worksession. Send your opinion

Debbie: Sandcastle was a big success. The police counted 1060 cars entering the
beach at Tolovana Wayside (the only beach access). Jeff reported that Officer
Rob Schultz estimated the overall crowd between 21 and 24 thousand. Jeff had
done 13 phone radio interviews on Friday. The weather was perfect. It was
reported that parking was full downtown even though there were not many people
downtown. For next year, Sue, at Land’s End Motel, suggested signage at the
foot of 2<sup>nd</sup> Street directing people to the event. People kept asking
them. The downtown BBQ and Concert in the Park were poorly attended with
reports of just 15 people at the Concert. George suggested that many people on
the beach did not know about the BBQ or the Concert and suggested having
someone with a megaphone moving up and down the beach making announcements
including what time judging completes, reminders of the incoming tide, events
in town, etc. Jeff TerHar suggested closing off 2<sup>nd</sup> Street downtown
like is down for the car shows and have a sculpture or two done there, possibly
several days before. To avoid the mass entrance and exodus of cars and people,
George would like to see the sculptures last through Sunday allowing people to
come and go (and stay) more leisurely. The tides are predictable. The plots
could be placed so that the next high tide would not destroy them. A new
committee could be formed that would stay on the beach with the goal of
protecting the sculptures from those few who prefer to destroy them rather than
leave them for others to enjoy. In past years, it had been kids (whose parents
sit back and watch) who have destroyed the sculptures, not the tide. The
incoming tide washes smooth the surface, but the sculptures above water level
survive and could and would be enjoyed into the night and again the next day.
Tommy expressed his liking of the way the sculptures are gone with the next
high tide. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

Show & Tell. Rick Diamond (and brother Jeff) both work for Worldwide
Merchant – a website design company founded in 1997 in Arizona. Rick lives in
Canon Beach and Jeff in Bay City. Their parents retired to Bay City. When Rick
came to visit them, he also visited Cannon Beach and fell in love with the town
and moved here. Jeff lives in Bay City. Worldwide Merchant is a full service
web company giving the customer complete control in choosing and changing
templates and content. Rick’s specialty is e-commerce. The company released
Version 3.0 in January. They can get a website up for a client in 24 to 48
hours. $1000 is a high-end site with them. Most are less. Hosting with them is
required as all their templates are part of their database. They wrote their
own shopping cart. Local clients include Puppy Love and Primary Elements.

Plein Air and More – This Saturday June 26, 2010. Artists will demonstrate how
to paint, sculpt and photograph Cannon Beach, showing us the town and coastline

Once completed, the artists take their work to the gallery representing them
and it is available for purchase. Northwest by Northwest Gallery will have Joe
Adams carving in front of their gallery, but photographer Christopher Burkett
will not be able to make it after all. Artist bios and when and where they will

leaving the beach after the event around 4pm I stopped at the entrance to talk
to Darrel Walker who had been assigned by the Police Dept to count cars. He
told me he counted 1060 cars that entered the beach at Tolovana. That didn’t

charmed. I can’t remember the last time we had such outstanding weather for our
Sandcastle Contest. And what a great crowd! I was there from 730am till 4pm and
didn’t witness anyone having anything other than a great time. Organizers Kelli
Truax Taylor (Bruce’s Candy Kitchen) and Debbie Nelson (Basketcase) deserve the
highest praise along with Chamber Executive Director Jeff Jewel (Rumored to be
in the current Coaster Theatre production). Followed by John Nelson and Coaster
Construction for equipment and time not only for today’s event but also on Wednesday
for the “Sam’s Dragon” sculpture (designed and orchestrated by Sam Steidel of

Without the work of today’s layout crew, Sandcastle couldn’t happen. Don Boehm
of Boehm Construction, as he has done for many years alongside Sam Steidel, led
that effort without Sam this year. Mike McEwan/McEwan Construction supplied the
equipment and dug the water holes today and piled the sand on Wednesday for
“Sam’s Dragon”. Debbie was in charge of the judges and Sharon Visser from the
Information Center organized and led the sales tent – which was a great
success. Jim McDonald and Tolovana Inn came through with the tents and staff to
put them up and tear them down. Carol Hungerford of the Gazette headed the
Information/Lost & Found tent with Shari from her staff. Robin Risley, a
long time Sandcastle supporter and enthusiast, was on the Sandcastle committee
and also was a judge. The City supplied the police (thanks Chief Haliburton)
and workers to keep traffic flowing to and from the beach and in and out of
town. It’s 9pm now and I just got off the phone with Kelli. She says her
husband Brian, who has been helping her out all along, is still out collecting
traffic signs that were put out for the day. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

Jeff & George: Newly elected members of the Chamber Board were announced
yesterday at the Chamber General Membership meeting. The four chosen by the
vote of the membership are Scott Kruickshank/Martin Hospitality, Kristine
Gottsch/Escape Lodging, Jim McDonald/Tolovana Inn (all three year terms) and
Sue Meyers/Land’s End Motel (two year term). Scott and Jim are current Board
members. Kristine and Sue will take their seats at the July Board Meeting (July
20). The board is rounded out by Kelli Truax Taylor, Margo Dueber, Tracy Abel,
Tim Krupa and George Vetter. Leaving the Board are Carol Hungerford and Rich
Mays.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

Chamber Marketing Committee chose DVA Advertising and Public Relations. DVA is

Nichols: Four Paws on the Beach is a pet store in Manzanita. Barbara and
husband Dan, leaving their software careers behind, opened the store in
December 2007 on the heels of the giant wind storm. They carry fun
collars & leashes, toys, treats, apparel, dog and cat food and art. The
quality cat and dog food is without wheat, corn, soy or by-products. Some of
the brands are Merrick, Solid Gold, Wellness, Castor & Pollux, Taste of the
Wild, Canidea and others. They have two big dogs: Newfoundlands, Shanti and
Indie, who hang out at the store. They have done water rescue work, obedience
and agility. Four Paws on the Beach organizes Muttzanita on Saturday August 14th

a fun doggie festival with lots of events such as the Chuck-it toss, Doggie
musical chair, Pet Talent Show, Pet Fashion Show, Pet Parade,etc. The event

Jeff & George: With the affordable housing challenges facing Cannon Beach,
upon Mayor Mike Morgan’s request, the Chamber Board authorized Jeff to do what
is necessary to keep the Cannon Beach Community Development Corporation intact
even though there are no immediate project plans. State and Federal monies that
could become available would be available to a CDC that would not be available
otherwise. Jeff has worked with CDC’s. For now what is needed are quarterly
meetings and annual renewals.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>16.
Stephen: At yesterday’s Chamber General Membership meeting, the financial
report revealed that the Chamber has gone from approx $50K in the red in the
beginning of 2009 to approx $50K in the black now. This $100K turnaround is the
result of the work, effort and support of many people. Quite a few of those
people participate in these Wednesday Morning Meetings. Stephen is not only
impressed with what <u>has</u> happened, but also by what is planned.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

The History Center has two new exhibits per year plus the Film Festival,
Cottage Tour, music offerings, an annual calendar, a cookbook, and a gift shop.
The semi-annual membership meeting is June 26<sup>th</sup> at 930am at the History
Center. Dale is wedding officiate. She says her $100 fee is the most reasonable
around. To stay at the top of her game, Dale practices taekwondo. She has her
black belt and teaches taekwondo. </span><o:p></o:p></p>

Tim Krupa: For all the world to see, the remodeled Chamber Website (<a

George suggested a last minute (on-site) registration option this year – to
assign a plot at a cost, but to not include those in the competition. After the
contest this year, on the step of the Chamber’s back deck will be a barbeque at
230pm. Jean: From 7a-11a at the Legion will be the annual buffet
breakfast.[from last week’s notes] Debbie: Sandcastle Day is June 19. Teams are

Plein Air is art painted outside in the open air. Saturday June 26 is the
Gallery Groups 2<sup>nd</sup> Annual Plein Air and More event. 17 Artists will
pick a spot in town and begin work at 11am. At 4pm those artists and their work
will be on display and offered for sale in the member galleries of the Gallery

George: Last night in a City Council Work Session, future use of the Cannon
Beach Elementary School was discussed. Wendy says the property is currently
owned by the School Board, but will revert back to the County if the school
moves. The School Board has 4 schools in the tsunami zone and is looking to
consolidate them into a campus out of the tsunami zone with a target date of
2014. The City would have to buy from the School Board, the County or both
depending how things end up. The likely use at this point would be a park with
the possibility of saving the gym building for its historical value.

Last week’s sonic boom left some confused and other scared. With tsunami on
people’s minds and in the news these days, shaking of the earth to any degree
can cause concern. Bob Necker suggested that a phone tree could/should be set
up. Rick Diamond spoke of his experience in another community where 5 key
people were designated as those who would be the first to know of any danger or
lack thereof and would each have access to a website where they could post the
info for all to see. Gary Hayes reminded all that texting is something which
could be operational even when phones calls cannot be made.</span><cite><span

kicks off Tuesday June 15 at 2pm with 22 vendors, an ice cream social, a food
basket raffle, music, cut flowers, fruits, veggies, meats, breads and more in
the parking lot in front of City Hall at Gower and Hemlock Streets. The
Restaurant of the week will be the Wayfarer with music by Salty Dog. The Market
runs Tuesdays from 2-6pm thru Sept 28 with varied restaurants and musicians
each week. The Market is supported by the City and by volunteers. More
